Michael Lee
Michael Lee has been a proponent of the outcome-driven innovation
methods for the past five years. He came to Strategyn from
Medtronic, where he started the product planning function for the
neurological division, applying Strategyn's methodologies to
neurostimulator systems. Prior to his position at Medtronic, Mr. Lee
held a post at the cardiac pacemaker company Intermedics.
Mr. Lee’s 19-plus years of experience in the medical device industry
encompassed roles in clinical studies, technical service, product
development, and product planning. In all those roles, he acted as
an intermediary between external customers and the marketing and
product development organizations, experience that made him an
expert at translating between the different languages and cultures
of the three groups.
Mr. Lee was involved in the development of 10 implantable medical
devices and four medical device programmers (custom computers
physicians use to alter and monitor the function of implanted
devices). He holds five U.S. patents and has written several
publications.
Mr. Lee has a bachelor of science degree and has completed
postgraduate studies in biomedical engineering at Northwestern
University.
Mr. Lee is part of the Strategyn USA team and may be contacted by
