Maurizio Beltrami
During a career in the electronics sector, Maurizio Beltrami has
built a competency managing innovation in the fields of convergence,
consumer electronics, telecommunications, and information
technology. He worked for the management team at Philips’s Italian
division, where he founded a research and advanced innovation
laboratory with the mission of strengthening the technological and
scientific cooperation between the company and Italy’s academic and
industrial research world. This laboratory was soon after
incorporated into Philips’s research organization.
Mr. Beltrami managed this laboratory for eight years while
simultaneously representing the company in many strategic
partnership initiatives in the innovation space. During this time,
he also served as president of several Italian consumer electronics
associations and research start-ups.
Later, he had international roles at the corporate level for Philips
consumer electronics, playing an active part in determining the
impact of the Internet on Philips’s consumer products and doing
research for NXP Semiconductors (a company Philips founded) to
identify the unmet needs of users of mobile devices.
Mr. Beltrami brings to Strategyn his intimate understanding of
customers’ desire for breakthrough innovation solutions. He holds a
master’s degree in electrical engineering from the Politecnico di
