Mark Jaster
Mark Jaster has over 20 years of experience guiding leading
organizations through business model change, enterprise process
reengineering, and technology transformations. His breadth of
expertise encompasses retail banking strategy and products (with
special expertise in the small business segment and payments
systems), customer loyalty systems, enterprise customer information
systems, medical devices, robots, aircraft, and space-based systems,
as well as functional expertise in marketing, product development,
business development, strategic partnerships, intellectual property
strategy and management, business strategy and business change,
innovation management and methodology, information systems
applications, and business process development. During more than
eight years of senior experience in the retail financial services
industry, he served as vice president of product development at
Advanta Bank Corporation, as a strategy consultant at Citigroup and
director of product development at Citigroup’s C2it.com, as vice
president for customer relationship management, strategy, and
marketing technologies at BankOne, and as a strategy consultant at
Chase Manhattan Bank. He also has more than 12 years of experience
managing engineering development programs and quality systems at GE,
NASA, and the United States Air Force.
As a program adviser in Strategyn’s emerging Program for Innovation
service offering, Mr. Jaster helps Fortune 500 clients transform
their approach to innovation on the enterprise level. In this role
he routinely advises the chief innovation officers and other senior
stakeholders of global corporations regarding their innovation
management processes and growth strategies.
Thanks to his exposure to leading practices in product development,
innovation, customer management, information systems design, and
business strategy across many disparate industries, Mr. Jaster is
uniquely qualified to quickly diagnose the problems in traditional
strategies, decision management methodologies, organizational
designs, cross-functional processes, and systems architectures that
hinder enterprise growth and competitiveness and to propose
best-in-class solutions that deliver business breakthrough.
Mr. Jaster graduated cum laude with honors from Duke University with
a BSE in biomedical engineering and holds a masters degree in
engineering from Stanford University in a joint program of the
Stanford School of Engineering and Graduate School of Business. He
is also a graduate of the Strategyn Institute and has expertise in
Six Sigma, Design for Six Sigma, Quality Function Deployment, and
statistics-based management methods.
