Beat
Walther has 20 years of experience in business strategy, marketing, and
sales and has practiced the Strategyn methodology since 2002. For the
past eight years, he has supported a variety of companies in developing
and implementing growth strategies.
Mr. Walther uses the Strategyn methodology to uncover products’ and
services’ winning value propositions, so companies can gain market share
and achieve sustainable growth.
After his MBA studies at the Graduate School of Commerce at the
University of St. Gallen (now the St. Gallen Graduate School of Business
Administration, Economics, Law, and Social Sciences), Mr. Walther
started his business career working as an executive assistant in Grey
Advertising in New York. In 1989, he joined Procter & Gamble, where he
developed fast-moving consumer goods brands. He was responsible for a
large number of product launches in different product categories and
left Procter & Gamble after six successful years as the marketing
director of the paper division in Switzerland.
In 1995, Mr. Walther joined McKinsey & Company as project leader, in
which capacity he supported clients in the pharmaceutical, retail, and
financial services industries in strategy and operational performance
projects.
In 1999, he founded the Growth Architects (later Vendbridge Growth
Architects), a specialized consultancy based in Zurich that assists
large blue-chip companies in banking, IT, and industry in developing
growth strategies based on customer insights. In addition, Mr. Walther
works closely with the Swiss Federal Office of Technology and Innovation
to support highly innovative technology start-ups.
